1973 Twilight Bungalow

This is our 1973 Twilight Bungalow tear drop trailer.  Technically, it isn't quite the tear drop form most people think of.  The reason we chose those more modern design is because the tires are not outside the living space.  This gave us additional inside width and storage space.  Through internet research we've been able to locate only one other of these trailers in the country.

The trailer was in fairly bad shape when we got it about 10 years ago.  Since then we've restored it once and later, strengthened it for carrying more load.  In order to do that we added surge brakes and a rear motorcycle carrier.

The original top had rotten and we replaced the roof entirely with a fiberglass sheet.  Everything inside and outside was redone in red/white including new blinds and side trim.

It is equipped with a solar battery charger, rear kitchen with pump water, ice box, and a two burner propane stove.

Here's Blondie working on the inside (above)

And more of the interior (below)

Most recently we've added an outside dining "room" with umbrella and embroidered canvas chairs(below):

Notice the boat registration numbers?  We added them as a gag when the trailer is towed with the Amphicar.  It really doesn't float.
This is the trailer as we first saw it in "fabulous" 70's colors(below):

... and the old kitchen... avacado cooking range... ugh!
