Mixing and Matching Toys

Our litter of scooters enabled a number of different possibilities for car shows.

The trailer I used is called a "Trailer in a Bag."  These are extremely expensive (more than they are worth) but was the only trailer I found in proportion to the Met.  Although I haven't matched the scoots yet to the Amphicar, there's definitely no problem!

Here's the Allstate 811 behind the Met.

,,,and now the Topper...

,,, and the Hotrod Cushman!

I've saved this side for more shots of the Amphicar combo...

This is the "dining area."  Shaded, of course!

.... and the "RV", car and boat.

Notice the boat registration numers on the trailer?  Do you think it floats?  I'll let you wonder.

We've found that mixing our toys presents many different combinations for car and bike shows.

We started with the one-wheel Rossell trailer behind our Met.

We eventually found that the Met was stout enough to pull our Twilight Bungalow.  In fact, we installed spring helpers only to discover than they weren't needed.

The final challenge in this game of toys was to have a car, boat, RV, and motorcycle all ransportable at once.  After several years of planning, along with some trial and error, we finally got that done during March 2010.

Because of the brake and frame modifications needed on the trailer to be compatible with the Amphicar, we no longer pull it with the Met.  These may not be full-sized but this rig does 60MPH on the flat!

Amphicar = Car/boat.
Twilight Bungalow = RV
Topper Scooter = Motorcycle

So, let's face it!  After 40 years in this game, WE WON!
